Welcome Members & Guests!

What is The Registry?

The Registry of Oklahoma City was organized in the spring of 1981 as a fraternal society dedicated to providing social, cultural, educational, and benevolent activities for a select group of unmarried adults. In order to achieve and maintain an optimal level of social homogeneity, it was deemed minimally essential that there be compatibility in socioeconomic, educational, or cognate experiential background. Activities include group attendance at cultural events, a monthly dinner dance, held on a rotating basis at all local golf and country clubs, and periodic charity benefits. The Registry has contributed over $200,000 to various fine arts organizations in the Oklahoma City area.

What to Expect as a First Time Guest

Your first visit to The Registry will be at a dinner dance. The country club dinner dances are seated affairs with an equal number of men and women in attendance. Appropriate dress is required. A cash bar is provided. Invitations are sent to guests based on his or her personal qualifications, not on any relationship to a member. In order to be considered for membership, a guest must attend a minimum of five dinner dances.

How to Get Started

A request to attend may be made by any unmarried business professional who is at least 40 years of age, and is either sponsored or known by a member of The Registry or who has submitted an approved e-mail application. Upon submitting an application you will be contacted by the membership committee in the near future to get acquainted. You will hear from us soon—however, in that equal numbers of men and women are maintained at dinner dances, it may not be possible to invite you as soon as we would like. We hope that you will graciously consent to share an evening with us soon.
